Back in Boston Part 3

Back in Boston Part 2

Remember that scene in Goodwill Hunting, where Matt Damon is in a bar and some pony-tailed douche grad student challenges him to knowledge battle regarding economics? haha I don’t know why, for some reason whenever I think of Boston, I think of that scene. During my trip to this city, I was on the look out for such pony-tailed grad students but never came across one. Nevertheless, I still had a good time here.

Back In Boston Part 1

mmMMmm Donuts (said in a Homer Simpson tone of voice). While nothing fancy, Dunkin Donuts could always be relied upon to be open late. I think I had way to much hot chocolate and Boston cream donuts on this trip.

Skate and Create

Skateboarding will always be a part of me. I first started skating at the age of 10. I remember building ramps with my brother in front of our parent’s house. The scent of fresh pine wood in the air and the sound of several skateboards at once on the concrete defined my Summer as a kid. Even today, when I drive around town my eyes are always subconsciously screening the environment for that perfect handrail or smooth marble ledge.

Viva Las Vegas!

I love Vegas! Nevermind the fact that I lose money every time I come here. There is something about this little desert oasis that keeps me coming back, even if it means making the 4 hour+ drive from LA. This time, we decided to venture away from the strip for our morning culinary needs and stumbled upon this gem. The Egg and I, is a restaurant nestled in an old strip mall. While it doesn’t look like much from the outside, the food itself was excellent. The french toast was thick and fluffy. The eggs, perfectly seasoned. The only problem is that I will have a hard time coming back to my local Denny’s after being exposed to what a real brunch should taste like. By the evening, I hoped to visit the Neon Museum. It’s an empty lot filled with large neon signs of the defunct gambling palaces of yesteryear. Sadly, I arrived after closing and couldn’t enter, but still snuck a glimpse through the gate.
