Park Güell – Barcelona Spain

Like something out of a dream, Park Güell in Barcelona is a strange melding of organic forms with neoclassical architecture.  The brainchild of 19th century architect, Antoni Gaudi, this park features architecture unlike any I have ever seen before.  My favorite feature in the park is the partially enclosed hallway underneath the main walkway.  Constructed out of unfinished stones, the walkway has a surreal wavelike quality.  Indeed, it reminded me of all the times I’d be surfing at Pipeline and getting barreled.  (just kidding), I’ve never surfed a wave large enough to get barreled in my life.  Nevertheless, the hallway is striking and made for an awesome experience.
